Danny Siulapwa (born on 18 February 1979), known professionally known as Danny Kaya, Danny Champion, Danny Yakumbuyo or Danny Makisu, is one of Zambia’s most successful artist from Lusaka, Zambia. He holds a diploma in electrical engineering.Danny’s love of music goes way back during his church and school days.However, He broke through the Zambian Music scene with a hit track titled “Masiku yonse” which means every day in English, which featured on his debuted album Mvelani released in November 2000. His second studio album was titled Amalavingi which had hits such as “Chikondi chako Julie”, “My Jane” and “Bushe mailo”.His third album Yakumbuyo which literally translates to “the backside” was contentious in Zambia, because it touched on the topic of homosexuality, nevertheless it gained him a Ngoma award for Best Male Performer.
